School Note Policy

Please notify us at least two business days before your prescription runs out.

School Notes

We will be happy to provide children with a school/work note if they were seen at our office. We cannot provide excuses based on parental report of an illness. 

All schools allow a specific number of absences for illnesses without a note from the doctor. Please be sure to call your school when your child is absent due to an illness to report their absence. You can look at your school’s handbook for their guidelines.

School Medication Letters

We will always do our best to avoid children having to get medication during school hours. If there is no alternative, we are happy to write a medication letter for school. These can be done any time between the close of one academic year and the start of the next academic year. Please try to request this early in the summer for chronic medications to avoid the first week of school crunch. The medication will need to be be completely labeled by the pharmacist.
